SMOKE N BONES
Smoke N Bones began as an organ trio with a weekly residence at The Dragons Den in New Orleans. La. As the
material and lineup took shape Franklin realized that something special was forming and decided it was time time to
take the group on the road. Less than a year later Smoke N Bones has completed 2 succesful tours and is poised for a
huge year in New Orleans. Highlights of the 2012 summer include sold out shows with Dark Star Orchestra and March
4th Marching Band, as well as numerous festival and concert series appearances accross the country. Smoke N
Bones is New Orleans Funk and Soul at it's core but it is not unusual to find the musicians venturing into the realms of
Afro Cuban, Reggae and Jazz. An emphasis is placed both on original material and music that historically important to
New Orleans. The momentum and rise of the group are no surprise. Smoke N Bones members are staples in the New
Orleans music scene and also play with Karl Denson, E.O.E, Trombone Shorty, Kirk Joseph, Bill Summers, Big Sam's
Funky Nation, Govt Majic, Chegadao, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Jason Marsalis, Jon Cleary, Rick Trolsen, and
Eric Lindell just to name a few.
